Attorney Gillian Stein began practicing law in 1979 while in South Africa, but became a member of the California Bar in 1984. Her areas of practice have included asbestos litigation, environmental, insurance and education law, as well involvement in legal aid societies and general business. Since 2004, she has concentrated on Estate Planning, particularly small-to-medium sized estates.
Gillian is committed to educating and informing clients about the need and advantages of Estate Planning. She meets personally with clients, often at their own homes, to examine their financial, family and health needs. Plans are customized for each client individually with the use of Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney and Advance Health Care Directives. These are essential to prepare for possible incapacity, tax planning and for distribution of assets at time of death. By customizing Plans clients are sure to have their wishes carried out after death. This may avoid probate and help facilitate administration of the estate.
Gillian has also played an active role in her community and has participated in numerous volunteer organizations over the years. She is also active in volunteering for the Public Law Center and assisting the Guardianship Clinic at the Orange County Superior Court – Probate Division.
